How to get your TrustPro QES (Qualified Electronic Signature)

https://sa.trustpro.eu/tpsa/registerRemote?language=en#!

Please use the link on top to start the onboarding process in order to get a TrustPro QES (Qualified Electronic Signature).

At the end of the remote identification process, a qualified eIDAS compliant electronic signature will be activated, which can be used online on the signatureFolder site (you will receive the address at the end of the activation).

Some guidelines for performing onboarding:

1) please use the latest version of Firefox, Chrome or Opera browser to perform onboarding registration

2) keep at hand your ID document (passport or identity card) and the mobile phone you will use for registration

3) check that webcam and microphone are working properly

4) framing of the document: document must be framed in its entirety, shot that frames it completely and clearly it is a necessary condition for identification, the recording time is more than one minute, approx 30 seconds are reserved for framing the identity document, so do not rush into framing the document. When you show the document to the webcam, check that the data inside it can be clearly read by the TrustPro RAO (Registration Authority Officer) who will check them.

5) once the online recording has been made, check it in order to make sure there are no issues over video or audio

6) in case you don’t receive emails, check in your spam mail folder

Once the electronic signature is activated, you need to choose between the three Digital Signature options hereunder (BASIC, STANDARD or PROFESSIONAL). Timestamps can in turn be purchased by combining it with digital signatures in order to associate certain and legally valid dates and times with an electronic document, thus making it possible to associate a temporal validation that can be opposed to third parties in all Europe.

EU web electronic signature validation service

eIDAS compliance verification

If you want to verify eIDAS compliance, ie the validity of digital signatures across Europe, just open the signed document in Adobe Reader and click on the signature and verify the signature properties.

Formats of digital signatures: CAdES (.p7m), PAdES (.pdf), XAdES (.xml)

The signature formats CAdES (files with the extension .p7m), PAdES (files with the extension .pdf), XAdES (files with the extension .xml) are the European signature standards.

Unless a specific signature format is specifically requested, the PAdES signature allows you to sign .pdf documents, keeping their name unchanged, the documents can be opened, read and verified using any software for reading .pdf files such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Warning, the PAdES signature can only be used with .pdf documents

The CAdES signature changes the name of the document once signed (for example, the document test.docx, once digitally signed it will be test.docx.p7m); specific software / client is required to view and verify the signature of the signed document. The CAdES signature can be used to sign any type / format of document.

The XAdES format stands for XML Advanced Electronic Signature and is encoded in a readable textual format that complies with the rules of XML (Extensible Markup Language). XAdES allows visualization of the signature content with a simple text editor. The main advantage of XAdES format is that facilitates automatic processing, supporting multiple signing, it is generally used for the signature of electronic invoices to the Public Administration and in the health sector. The XAdES signature option is visible only if the files uploaded to signatureFolder are with the .xml extension.

On signatureFolder it is possible to sign with all three formats CAdES (.p7m), PAdES (.pdf), XAdES (.xml)
